"For Nothing is Impossible for God"- Luke 1:37 LIVE


Our meeting on Wednesday went well. This meeting was a review of the progress that has been made by the agency on the case in the last six months. It was also a chance for everyone to lay eyes on our girl for their monthly visit with her so that next month everyone can tell our judge that yes, in fact, she is happy and healthy and loved. In true case form some important people did not show up. The agency stated their lack of progress for the third time in a row. A supervisor assigned us a new social worker. The board unassigned us a new worker since that doesn't make sense this late in the game. The board members wished us all the best and assured us we're at the end of this journey and won't be seeing them for another six month review in the future. Hallelujah! Following the meeting our girl's social worker and adoption worker both added their encouragement by saying they fully expect that the judge will grant us adoption that day and that we shouldn't be sweating about that. Everyone agreed that they will be willing to impress this on our judge on that blessed day. Praise Jesus.

We have 8 days left on our waiting timeline for "nothing." We have 30 days left on our timeline for "the day." 30 days! Is this real?

I haven't had the gumption to speak of funds here lately. I really don't care for money talk all that much, unless we're talking about saving money and then, well, that's another ballgame.

I've privately been storing up these concerns in my mind, not really sharing them with you, or God. Earlier this week my devotion was about how our God knows what we have on our minds and that we don't always have to tell Him.

Yesterday morning I woke up with this reminder:

"For nothing is impossible for God" Luke 1:37

In our very early days of this journey to our girl, this verse was a daily reminder that His plans knows no obstacles. He created the Mountains, so He could also move them.

The second verse in my devotion said this:

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen. -Ephesians 3:20-21

The words that jumped off the page at me from this verse were these: "immeasurably more than we imagine", because I didn't ask.

A few minutes later I was checking my e-mail to find that one of you had made a $1000.00 donation while I was sleeping!

I was blown away by this immeasurable gift, and the power of my God! To work when I fail to ask, above and beyond the realms of my imagination.

I went through my day thankful, excited, feeling ever so blessed. Not worried.

This morning we had a rough start. Things don't always go with our girl like we plan. Sometimes fun things turn out not to be so fun after all. I was a little disappointed over a few things, and very sleepy, nonetheless.

I checked my email into the morning and found that another $1000.00 donation had been made while I was sleeping!

"For nothing is impossible with God!" -Luke 1:37

This God of mine orchestrates things beyond my wildest dreams. A few weeks ago He reminded me that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and He finishes what He starts!

I refuse to no longer hide, but to stand boldly before you and the King. My God is doing something HUGE here and if you want to be a part of it, you'd better jump in fast! Yippee!

We're in full planning mode over here. We're going to celebrate BIG when this is done and you get to SEE our girl!
